I was watching the beginning of the movie The Odd Couple, great Neal Hefti score...there's a shot of the awning of the hotel where Jack Lemmon checks in to jump from and commit suicide...Hotel Flanders...that was a hotel that a lot of Jazz musicians stayed in back in the 50's...along with the Bryant, Forrest and the Alvin (or is it Alwyn, can never rememeber)

The opening scene also has a shot in The Metropole, a one time well known jazz joint, but by the time of "the Odd Couple" the had cut the jazz policy and had bar bands and go go girls.

I worked at the Metropole during the summer of 1968 and I remember the girl that's in the opening shot.
