clifford_thornton Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I like this part the best: "clark terry & that fucking leafblower again-- goddamnit!" Speaking of which, where is Clementine? Quote
Spontooneous Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Hey, kids, we sure had a lot of fun in this thread, didn't we? Quote
rachel Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I know I'm breaking the rules with this since it's from 2004, but I love this thread so much that I have to share with everyone. The Pillar of Flame Quote
Guy Berger Posted May 13, 2007 Author Report Posted May 13, 2007 From November 5, courtesy of Jim S: I wish I still had The Beatles vs The Dave Clark Five, a pulpy one-off magazine that came out sometime in 1964. It was intentionally slanted to make the DC5 look like heroes & The Beatles to look like bums. No idea who published it, but it made me madder than hell when I was 8. Now, I think it would be one of the funniest things I owned, if I still owned it. Quote
MoGrubb Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Wait...Dexter Gordon? I thought this thread was about Ruth Gordon! I dig Dexter, but Ruthy couldn't swing for shit! One of my all time favorite threads. Bite your tongue. She was bordering on greatness in Eastwood's Every Which Way But Loose. -_- Quote
