I am routing the digital audio stream (128kbps, mp3) to a Slim Devices "Squeezebox" which, in my case, is also doing the digital/analog conversion. The resulting analog stream is then fed to a Tivoli Audio Model One radio. Sounds pretty good...

THAT stuff can be cool-- symphony for SHAKERS w/twinkly cocktail-Bill Evans modalism into New Age Tyner-style obbligato... awful. i'll admit i was "mesmerized" but only cuz it took me a minute or two to know for sure what it was... could it have been some Milestone Tyner i suppressed memory? coulda, weren't.

The AC sides I return to the most often are the "go for broke" affairs--every bit as explosive as the Pharoahs and probably more irreverent/ambitious in the end. I think the jury will remain out w/regard to Alice's technical idiosyncrasies--I'm a fan, but there are some details that veer too much on personal proclivity to debate. Like JS, I think I'm a universal consciousness person (which doesn't mean that transcendence can't grate sometimes, of course).
