Scott Dolan Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 It's amazing what you can get away with on late night tv these days. So much for the Christian right running the country. Quote

This has been HEAVILY discussed on another thread. And the skit was censored for broadcast. It was "bleep in a box." Quote
Brad Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 That's a riot. Wonder if she liked it Quote

J Larsen Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Can't the Christian right run the country without running SNL? Quote
JSngry Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 That's a riot. Wonder if she liked it Hey, it's a dick in a box. What's not to like? I just hope this doesn't give Lorena Bobbit any fresh ideas... Quote
Scott Dolan Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 She's already got the supply side taken care of.... Quote

Actually, I've heard comments from several people who saw it on the show first and on the net later. They all thought that it was "cock in a box," which they thought was funnier. They didn't think "dick in a box" was as good. Nevertheless, the point is that they didn't use the WORD "dick" on TV, so the airwaves are technically safe. I don't think the FCC monitors for implied meaning. Just the overt stuff. Quote
Scott Dolan Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Puritanical society blah blah blah....... Right wing Christians are taking over blah blah blah.... This is becoming a theocracy blah blah blah..... Blah!! Whenever I hear this from the chicken little crowd I ask them to compare what's on tv these days with what was on tv 40 years ago. Quote
Scott Dolan Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 It wasn't bad. I still dug the Chronicles of Narnia one more. Quote
ghost of miles Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 "Gift," "Lazy Sunday" (the Narnia one) and the Natalie Portman gangsta rap all in this thread. They're the work of SNL player Andy Samberg and a couple of other guys from the Lonely Island site. Quote
Scott Dolan Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Yeah, Samberg has been one hell of an addition to the show. I miss Sanz though. Quote

Ron S Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 I'm just excited for Jim Alfredson, who's on this thread right now and who'll be in Philly himself next week. Oh wait--he's bringing his wife. Quote
Scott Dolan Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 (edited) Look Jim, it's no big deal. Talk to the wife and just tell her that you honestly think a threeway would not only be new and exciting, but ultimately good for the marriage. Good luck, brother!!
