CJ Shearn Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I ordered Freddie Hubbard and Stanley Turrentine in Concert vol. 1 from the bastards, and well it shipped December 26th and according to the shipping confirmation it said my order would be in my hands by January 3rd. That was yesterday, I called them and they said if nothing comes by monday or tuesday of next week, to call them so they can issue credit. Nothing came today, and I have received all my other post x-mas packages from CDUniverse and the like, the tracking number online gets me no new info. What should I do? I've had nothing but great service from DG in the past, should I report the item as lost yet? They shipped me the last copy of that CD. Quote
JSngry Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Work with them as the say, and see what happens. I've had an order or two similarly delayed, and they always showed up eventually, and within the time-frame of consideration they requested. I've got no reason to believe that if your stuff doesn't hit by then that they'll not honor their word. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Considering how fucked the post is right now, I would not doubt that it'll show up soon... DGA are easy to work with. Quote
jlhoots Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I've never had a DG order not show up. Some have taken a while, but nothing was ever lost. Quote
CJ Shearn Posted January 5, 2007 Author Report Posted January 5, 2007 ok, thats great! I will be waiting. Thanks everyone Quote
CJ Shearn Posted January 6, 2007 Author Report Posted January 6, 2007 still nothing yet! (as of Friday afternoon) I just hope this is a case of the holidays/President Ford death, delaying the time it takes the package in getting to me. Quote
Brad Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 It may be a case of the holidays and such but if you don't have them by Monday I would call them. I have to believe they would replace it. Quote
JSngry Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Longest I've ever had a DG order take is 3.5 weeks. It happens, especially w/the bottom rung shipping options, which I am fond of using. Quote
rostasi Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 If it's any consolation... I still have orders out (from other places) that are nearly a month old. I wouldn't blame DG...yet Nearly every January I have this problem with orders and subscriptions. Delivery must be really backed up in all areas - USPS, UPS, etc - during this month and three days of no postal delivery didn't help. It'll show up - maybe a month after you placed it - but I'm betting it'll show. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 DG has always come through in the past for me. Never had an order go missing, but had one come damaged (totally smashed) - and they made the whole thing 100% right. GREAT on-line vender. Can't say enough good things about their service. Quote
rostasi Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Hey CJ, I don't know if you've received your order yet, but I just got 13 packages today. The earliest one from an order placed on Dec. 9, so I'm not sure if that gives you something to gauge, but that's the story here in Dallas. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 DG has always come through in the past for me. Never had an order go missing, but had one come damaged (totally smashed) - and they made the whole thing 100% right. GREAT on-line vender. Can't say enough good things about their service. LOVE the new avatar, Rooster! Ghetto Music is among my top LPs. Quote
