JSngry
Still having fun with this one...if you're a fan of the late-60s BN HardBop sides and not heard these should give it a consider. Very good music in that vein here, good compositions, good playing, good feel, very "organic" in a way that it didn't necessarily have to be. Clunky
Charles Mingus - Complete Debut Recordings (Fantasy)- don't listen enough to this set , firstly it's huge and secondly the sound Q is slightly below moderate.

T.D.
Have been spending a lot of time with this. I prefer the more recent discs (esp. 6, 7, 8), but they're all pretty good. The occasional use of synthesizer is not really to my taste, but it's not a deal-breaker.

Chuck Nessa
Currently listening to the dandy Bal Masque disc. I just can't believe they didn't spend a couple of bucks to correct the horrible editing error in Such Sweet Thunder.
JETman
Currently listening to the dandy Bal Masque disc. I just can't believe they didn't spend a couple of bucks to correct the horrible editing error in Such Sweet Thunder. Michael was not aware of the error. I expressed the same disbelief to him today.
