Scorpionjazz Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 (edited) The Duke Ellington Centennial box, listening to 4 discs of 1940-1942 Duke in chronological order. Doesn't get any better than that! I am listening to Andrew Hill - Mosaic Select 16 - Disc 1 That is a great set ( I also find great Passing Ships). Listening now: Disc 2-Lee Morgan "Live at the Lighthouse" (Blue Note). Recently got it. Great concert. BUT: I received a first boxset without booklet included, I exchanged it and the second one arrived AGAIN without booklet. However I was said that a 6 pages booklet should be included. Anybody has information on it? Cheers. Edited April 17, 2010 by Scorpionjazz Quote
Van Basten II Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Listening to the first CD, the drumming on the first track of Il Giro is a lot of fun to listen, great album purists will probably hate it. Quote
