Sorry for the delay, Mike, but I don't have my account set to notify me if someone comments! I got it for for $46 including shipping, which I think was an absolute steal (it's like-new condition). I've been compulsively watching eBay for it to come back around after I missed it for $50 something (and that was without the book and box), and I think I just lucked with an odd-timed auction that people missed. Incredibly happy with the set and highly recommend it. On 10/17/2019 at 6:16 PM, Bluesnik said: This is a terrific Select. I particularly like Dick Twardzik's half LP. Although Rowles and Fischer are also great. Agreed, Bluesnik. Some days you just want to hear a great piano trio, and this set gives you that many more options. It is just consistent high quality throughout - not a dud track. Quote

Bluesnik Posted December 20, 2019 Report Posted December 20, 2019 (edited) Picked mine up this morning and was told they'd flown away. They only had 2 left. Am with Tubbs in N.Y. now. With Horace Parlan, Eddie Costa on vibes and Clark Terry. Edited December 20, 2019 by Bluesnik Quote

Justin V Posted December 21, 2019 Report Posted December 21, 2019 Disc 2: I've mentioned some great prices for this set on the box-bargain thread because it really is a gem. I only bought it last year, so I am making up for lost time by spinning it more lately. Quote

I even like the Orchestra album that precedes Grits, with its two respective Lennon-McCartney and Bacharach songs, which is basically a pop song versions album. Quote
