Disc 2: This is only my second run through this box, but it is becoming some of my favorite Trane (and Dolphy, for that matter).  Throw in a long track with Roy Haynes and this set becomes all the more indispensable.

Just picked up the Pacific Jazz Piano Trios on eBay and am thoroughly enjoying all of it.

This is a terrific Select. I particularly like Dick Twardzik's half LP. Although Rowles and Fischer are also great.

Disc 2: With it being Konitz's 92nd birthday, it's the perfect time to spin this gem.  It is pretty shocking that the complete version isn't available as a download.

Yeah, that's a major record in its original form, but the expanded edition is MAJOR major.

A must-have, for sure!

But is this one already on sale? Wasn't it to be released on November 7th?

Got a review copy from a writer friend--which frees up budgeted money for other purposes!  Sound is excellent so far (I'm actually listening to disc 3 right now).

Art Pepper - Promise Kept: The Complete Artists House Recordings (Omnivore 2019)

I love this set. Pepper plays the blues. I have it on repeat in the car and it is on high rotation in the main system as well. There is no shortage of late Art Pepper recordings but these 6 hours are my favorite. Michael Graves' mastering job deserves extra recognition.

I'm still waiting not to buy the Mosaic Mobley set.

Same here. Own too many of the late Mobley albums as standalone CDs to justify that expenditure. But I admit I'm constantly on the fence, because I'm a great Mobley fan. I even own his fifties box.

The Tal Farlow Mosaic, through my library's streaming service.  I've been intrigued by the set for years but hadn't listened to it before.

That set is wonderful. I recommend it heartily. I just listed to it partially last sunday.
