sidewinder
Strangely enough, 'Other Folks Music' has always been my favourite of the albums in 'Aces Back To Back'. Benefits from Hilton Ruiz on piano.

Benefits from Hilton Ruiz on piano. Odd album, but I really enjoy it. Agreed on Ruiz. The opening Paul Robeson Othello clip is killer and has always hooked me. ghost of miles
Disc 1 of this, which comprises the first two albums I ever heard by Powell—Jazz Giant and The Genius of Bud Powell. Still some of my all-time favorite music.

GA Russell
Not jazz. Disc One. In 1964 the English radio show Top of the Pops was syndicated in the US, and I remember hearing Unit 4+2. They explained that they had been a vocal quartet, and added bass and drums to get gigs where the beat groups played. I enjoy this music, but it is nothing like Concrete and Clay. It reminds me of The Brothers Four.
