kulu se mama Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 i currently have some auctions on ebay (which i am not pimping). one of the items is a mezz mezzro classics cd. i use counters, and i am typically lucky if 30-40 view an auction, but this particular auction has been viewed over 850 times, and yet it still has no bids. the views have not all happened at once either. 2 days ago it "only" had over 500 views. does anyone know what might be happening here? mikelz777 Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Often, people will wait until a few hours or even minutes/seconds before the auction is over before they bid hoping to take the auction. Sometimes people don't want to telegraph their interest hoping the auction isn't bid way up before they make their top bid. I've been in auctions where there was only one bidder for days and then 5-6 people bid in the last minutes and seconds. Quote

Jazzmoose Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Was it linked to fark.com or something? Quote
HolyStitt Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I good way to check if it is a fluke on the counter would be to check on many "watchers" there are for the item on your My ebay page. Quote
Claude Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 OK, just a guess: Your item description says "Released by Classic records in 1993" and "out of print". That's a small error, as the label is "Classics jazz", as you correctly indicate in the listing. "Classic records" is a limited edition audiophile label. Maybe there are many users who run an automatic search on "classic records" and "out of print" to find some rare items by this label, and that's how they come to see your auction. Quote
BERIGAN Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Very strange! Jazz cds typically get 20 or less views. Past 1100 now... Quote
kulu se mama Posted December 2, 2006 Author Report Posted December 2, 2006 My Webpage here is the link. claude your guess might be acurate, but it is still alot of views. the next highest views i have on any of my other auctions is 46. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 My Webpage here is the link. Well, jeez...now you've pumped it up even more! Quote
