Tom in RI Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 I was at a Newberry Comics store this afternoon and I found quite a few OJC's and other Fantasy titles for sale cheap, most were 5.99, some were 3.99, and some were 8.99 (they also had K2's for 9.99). Newberry's is a chain based in Massachusetts. None of the titles I saw were included in the Summer Blowout Sale. Are people seeing Fantasy product at cutout prices elswhere? Could this mean no direct Winter Blowout Sale from Concord? Quote

They have others as well - and always have - but I don't know if they're part of any winter sale. Quote
Stefan Wood Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 According to their website, their online shop is down while they are relocating their entire inventory to another place. Hmm...... Quote

They have others as well - and always have - but I don't know if they're part of any winter sale. These are not cut-outs. These are bona fide sealed brand new Fantsay/OJC cds, many of them K2 remasters. Based on Tom's heads-up I went to the local Newbury Comics and picked up several OJC's for $5.99 [whatever Tom didn't clean up before me - we shop at the same store ]. These are the titles that weren't part of the Concord crazy sale. I wonder if they'll drop more titles in the bins later. Thanks for the 411, Tom! Quote
Big Al Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 According to their website, their online shop is down while they are relocating their entire inventory to another place. Hmm...... Hopefully to someplace in the DFW area! (If there's anyplace left....) Quote
felser Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 (edited) (If there's anyplace left....) I hear that. Brick and mortars are becoming a thing of the past here. There is nowhere in our general area (Western Suburban Philly) that I'm aware of to get good cutouts or good, reasonably priced used discs anymore. I'm 100% online now for my CD purchases. king ubu Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 There's a sale going on here, too, albeit not at these great prizes (roughly 11$ per disc, this is two thirds of regular nice prize releases). I realized after buying a bunch that all are new, Universal pressings of OJCs. The traycard has the Universal logo printed on it, and so do the CDs themselves. I take this as a good sign that a whole lot of the catalogue is being continued. Quote
sheldonm Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 The past few times I've been to Dusty Groove, they have had a handful of k2s at $5.99....sure to have come from the Concord sale. m~ Quote
