Dan Gould Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Shock of all shocks, Rainy Day comes back to talk about racism. Ever talk about music here, RD? Don't get me wrong, your welcome to talk about whatever you want. It just seems so predictable that you'd chime in on this thread when you haven't been seen in ages. You've made four posts in a year, and one of them was about racism and another is about Crouch. Ise sorry not to ask first, boss, before opening my mouf. I'll just jes shuffle on down the road now and let y'all enjoy your talk about race without meddlin' from the ignorant colored folk. Typical bullshit reply when someone has simply noted that over and over again you only come out when "racism" is at issue. You've got nothing else to say here, ever. Why, yessuh. Ise just trying to keep yoursef from gettin' embarrassed 'cos you didn't answer what I said, jes got mad 'cos I showed up. I got nuffni' to say you want to hear, that's all. How many music things do I have to talk about 'fore I can say something about this here? Oh, now am I "oppressing" you? I'm the racist white man holding you down? That's as tiresome as your usual commentary on racism, perceived and otherwise. Quote

RainyDay Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 (edited) Shock of all shocks, Rainy Day comes back to talk about racism. Ever talk about music here, RD?...You've made four posts in a year, and one of them was about racism and another is about Crouch. http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...s&highlite= ...and one post was about Sly Stone on the Grammys and the other was about McCoy Tyner. The conclusion a normal person would make is that I just don't post here very much. This thread was seven pages long when I got here and I'm sure it will last another seven. Now I remember why I don't come here much. Carry on. Edited November 24, 2006 by RainyDay Quote
ghost of miles Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 What I find rather ironic about the fallout from this is the talk that Richards' career is "over" "finished." Uh--just glancing at his credits in IMDB, I'd say it's been "finished" for about six years now. OTOH, as my brother observed, this does put the lie to the cliche "there's no such thing as bad publicity." Quote

OTOH, as my brother observed, this does put the lie to the cliche "there's no such thing as bad publicity." What's more important is it that silly to think of him "suffering" over this. Unless he's been extremely stupid with his Seinfeld earnings, he has no need to work whatsoever, and with the continuing residual income from both syndication and DVD sales, even if he's been stupid financially, he's got a guaranteed revenue stream well in excess of any likely financial need. And as much as people here are saying how they 'can't' watch Seinfeld anymore, after a month or two, there won't be any impact at all on the show's ratings in syndication or on DVD sales. Quote

7/4 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 Dan doesn't even really come here to discuss music, check his stats: Total Cumulative Posts, 6589 (4.8 posts per day / 1.19% of total forum posts) Most active in Miscellaneous - Non-Political (2701 posts / 37% of this member's active posts) Maybe Dan needs his own little forum for sports. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Quote

I don't come by twice a year to tell you about race relations. This is a music trivia/general small talk bulletin board that has plenty of room for people who come by twice to post about whatever they want to. At 0,0054794520547945205479452054794521 posts per day I have to wonder why one would even bother to discuss this. Edited November 25, 2006 by rockefeller center Quote

And we're back on topic...maybe Dan can share a little bit about RAGE. Why he and Michael Richards are so angry and feel a need to call people names. Dan? Why all the anger and rage? We have a caller on line 9 from Planet Mars. Hello there and welcome to the Organissimo Rage Forum. Whaz up? caller: "The fact is, Dan does participate in a wide variety of threads, but they're mostly non-musical - just like his stats suggest. Who's he to tell anyone how to post? Plus, he doesn't seem like a very happy person." Exactly. Thank you caller #9, you're my favorite Martian. Dan? What do you say? Quote

So for the sake of peas on Earth & Good Will Hunting, can we just let all this shit drop? Rainy Day dropped in, had her say, and if the past is any indication, it'll be a good while before she comes back unless the potshots continue, in which case, hey - you ask for it, you'll get it. Dan's here to stay, and he makes plenty of music posts (if he makes 37% of his posts in Miscellaneous - Non-Political, doesn't it then follow that 63% are music related?). So what say we all put aside this petty bickering and focus on what really matters - finding the one side that will get Big Al over the Bird hump. Edited November 25, 2006 by JSngry Quote
