Parkertown Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 (edited) I'm stuck in here! For now at least. My poor wife is at work. They put them up at a nice hotel two blocks from her office last night, and again tonight. My snowblower was broken, but this storm motivated me to get if fixed...very motivated!! Parkertown Posted March 19, 2003 Author Report Posted March 19, 2003 Well this was a failure. And for some reason, I'm unable to delete the post/topic. Whatsup? How can I upload images from my hard drive? I'm soo confused!! But really, these pics are quite cool. Help? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 The images have to be under 100k. If they are, then you can attach them using the "File Attachments" window underneath the post window. Quote
Parkertown Posted March 19, 2003 Author Report Posted March 19, 2003 Thanks Jim, I'll give that a try. P.S. How come I can't delete the original post/topic? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 You can delete a post, not a topic. If enough people want me to change that, I think I can do that. Those pics are crazy! I hope that storm doesn't come here! We've been finally enjoying some springlike temperatures around here! Quote
Parkertown Posted March 19, 2003 Author Report Posted March 19, 2003 Thanks Jim, I'll delete these pics after a couple of days, sooner if need be. Please let me know if I'm hoggin' too much server space. Quote
Noj Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 I'm green with envy. Wish I could be out snowboarding in the freshies! Quote
Parkertown Posted March 19, 2003 Author Report Posted March 19, 2003 (edited) NojPossum: You and me both. I just hope the roads are open and Berthoud Pass is passable to Winter Park in time for Saturday! BTW, your post is missing from the forum, but I see it when I'm adding new replys. ??? Oh, I see it in the forum now... Edited March 19, 2003 by Parkertown Quote
Parkertown Posted March 19, 2003 Author Report Posted March 19, 2003 Man, it's friggin' snowin' again!!!! And I'm out of gas for the snowblower. Hell, I had to borrow that tankful from the neighbor! Quote
Parkertown Posted March 19, 2003 Author Report Posted March 19, 2003 Thick flakes too. Man, they said it was stopping!!! Quote
Parkertown Posted March 19, 2003 Author Report Posted March 19, 2003 You guys think I should shovel this off the roof???!!! Quote
RonF Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Scott, I'm down in SW Colorado but some friends of ours in Bailey emailed photos that look exactly like that. Now that's Colorado snow! Quote
Parkertown Posted March 19, 2003 Author Report Posted March 19, 2003 Howdy Ron, Yeah I hear Bailey got buried. Something like 7 feet!! It's snowing like crazy, again! I may end up shoveling that roof as the news is showing a lot of building collapsing from the buildup. Talk about a nightmare!!! We need this moisture, but this is ridiculous! Quote
JSngry Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 How far is Parkertown from Gunnison? I played a weekend there in January once, and the warmest it ever got was -22F. The snow was up over everybody's head. I dug it for a weekend, but I don't know if I could live in it. OTOH, it beats the hell out of tornados! Quote
Parkertown Posted March 20, 2003 Author Report Posted March 20, 2003 Jim, Parker is a suburb of Denver to the southeast, about 30 miles. Where I'm at, we're up at about 7000 feet, and most of Parker enjoys panoramic views of the entire Front Range, from Pikes Peak (south)to Longs Peak (north). Gunnison is in the mountains in the South Central part of Colorado. I've never been there, but I've been close. Where the heck did you play there? Do you guy's ever take the show on the road anymore? Chuck Nessa Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 I think Jim was a Pip on that trip. Quote
