Jim Alfredson Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 $2 million?! Give me a break. Quote
Jim R Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Oh what I'd give to get my hands on this beauty. I would settle for a '59 Les Paul that was never owned by someone famous! Indeed. The price is a joke, in fact the whole "stars' guitars" phenomenon is a joke. At least this guitar wasn't scribbled on with a black sharpie. I love vintage guitars, but the obsession with "bursts" has always seemed a tad wacky to me. Anyway, the reissues are everywhere, so you don't have to be wealthy to own a decent example. Quote
Sundog Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Not sure if this is the same guitar. Great picture though! Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 If you pay $2,000,000 for this guitar, will you play like Peter Green or will you still suck? Quote

bluesForBartok Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 Even Peter Green doesn't play like Peter Green anymore. I agree that price tag is just ridiculous and it's sad to think it may be purchased only to end up in someones private collection never to see the light of day again. It really should be in a museum considering it's historical importance. Even better if it was given back to PG. Quote
sheldonm Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 I love the clip of Gary playing with Phil Lynott......I loved Thin Lizzy!!! m~ Quote
sheldonm Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Even if I could play, I wouldn't pay $2000000.00 if Peter Green came to my house to play it and then gave it to me!!!...........but it is cool and sounds great! m~ Quote
