Oh what I'd give to get my hands on this beauty.

I would settle for a '59 Les Paul that was never owned by someone famous! :g

Indeed. The price is a joke, in fact the whole "stars' guitars" phenomenon is a joke. At least this guitar wasn't scribbled on with a black sharpie.

I love vintage guitars, but the obsession with "bursts" has always seemed a tad wacky to me. Anyway, the reissues are everywhere, so you don't have to be wealthy to own a decent example.

If you pay $2,000,000 for this guitar, will you play like Peter Green or will you still suck?

If you play like Peter Green, will you play like Peter Green in 1969, or now?

Even Peter Green doesn't play like Peter Green anymore. :(

I agree that price tag is just ridiculous and it's sad to think it may be purchased only to end up in someones private collection never to see the light of day again. It really should be in a museum considering it's historical importance.

Even better if it was given back to PG.

Even if I could play, I wouldn't pay $2000000.00 if Peter Green came to my house to play it and then gave it to me!!!...........but it is cool and sounds great!

I don't know if he would come to your house and play it but if you were in the right place at the right time like Gary Moore was he might give it to you.
