Last time when I resent it also resent a post from a couple of hours back which led to a double posts (which I've since deleted). Odd. I've never used the PM function here so it can't be that! [And it's done it again trying to send this...here we go again!] Quote

Jim R Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 I hadn't gotten around to reading this thread until today, and did so because I had some PM activity going on (not something I do very often here). I sent out two PM's today (one a reply to Tom in RI; one that I initiated to jmjk), and also an e-mail via the board software (to B-3er). I got the error message when I sent each PM, and also when I sent the e-mail to Jim. I sent the PM's several hours ago, and after I just checked my inbox, I see that I have no replies as of yet. I guess I'm wondering if I should assume that my messages actually got through... ??? To put it another way... HELP !! Quote

I changed over my personal email and web space to thechain.com because I figured that if it's good enough for Organissimo, it's good enough for me! It's been great until this week. I haven't been able to access my email for several days. My phone and mail inquiries have gone unanswered. Pretty frustrating. You'd think SOMEONE at the company would be able to sort things out. grey Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 (edited) I was quite active yesterday on this Board. I received numerous PMs. On some occasions I received a pop-up that I had a message from person x but when I checked the box there was no message. On another occasion there was no notification of a message but there was a new message in the box. The New Messages beside My Controls at the top of the screen was usually accurate but not on 2 occasions. When I replied to PMs, on no occasion did the sent box show that I had sent anything so I do not know if everyone received the replies that I mailed. I never received an Email notification of a PM. Until we hear that the system is fixed assume that it is hit and miss and do not wholly rely on the PM system. Addendum: After completing this message and clicking the add reply button to add this entry to this thread I received the "Mail Error" message even though the entry went through. This is because someone has "subscribed" to this thread, which means they are supposed to get an email whenever a new post is added. Of course, since the email system isn't working, whenever you post it creates an error. I'm sorry this still hasn't been fixed. I'm still bugging my service provider for a solution. Quote
