Just wondering if this is a newly remastered version or just an identical reissue of the older 20-bit Japanese box set:

Is this set significantly better than the USA issue?

It's 20 Bit digital K2 remastered. In my opinion far better than the older Fantasy remastering which is in the US set so worth the extra mony. Certainly if you don't have the Miles sides elsewhere.

I'll vote differently. The US box set sounds really good to me. I bet you have the Miles elsewhere, if not get the most recent cd box of those and look for a cheap copy of the US set (Concord just sold all their stock really cheaply, I bet you'll see some cheap copies around in time).

Or. . . buy the latest Concord Trane box set ("Fearless Leader") and await the two to follow that are planned. Accounts here are that "Fearless Leader" sounds fantastic.
