(And it looks like they even had a pretty good light-show, certainly for a high school production anyway.) Probably pretty cool, I'm guessing. By the same High School band... Genesis Medley part 1 (2:41) Genesis Medley Part 2 (1:15) Genesis Medley Part 3 (2:45) genesis medley part 4 (1:35) Genesis Medley part 5 (0:33) genesis medley part 6 (1:00) Probably a pretty cool band director too, would be my guess. This first one is a high school band from my area doing a quite difficult piece by DJ Shadow, Building Steam With a Grain of Salt. From what I understand, they had only a few days to learn it. Some of those drum breaks are tough! DJ Shadow's version, for reference. And a killer take on 21st Century Schizoid Man: And another. Plus a Japanese orchestral arrangement. I thought I read somewhere where Keith Moon was a big fan of surf-music. It was long ago, in the 70s, the one and only time I saw that movie, but man, was that weird. Maybe it wasn't TKAAR, could've been some other movie about the Who. What I remember the most is how shocked I was to see Keith Moon, before my very eyes, go from a young man to a very old man -- it was just flat-out scary/sad to see that happen over the course of the movie.
