Saint Vitus Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 I'd really like to know whatever you had in mind when you came up with that ID. How do you tease it? What do you mean by "the Korean"? Quote
rostasi Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 I've always thought that it was from the Goldfinger soundtrack, but it could be coincidence? Rod Quote
king ubu Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 well, there was that chap who got fired by that nice company for whom nice guys such as bush sr. and john major are working... anyway, that chap got fired after announcing that he intended to "fegh every hot chick in korea" while doing some job over there... maybe that's how you tease the korean? Quote
robviti Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 that song was covered by sex mob on their does bond cd. fwiw, it's also the name of a band that included drummer tom maxwell, who later played with the squirrel nut zippers. Quote

The Magnificent Goldberg Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 NOW I see! The credits said Dr DOmento. Spelling mistake or does Barrett Hansen have some competition? MG Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 Everybody making light of this, but I'm with Anselm. I'd like to know where this comes from and what was the intention. Quote
Aggie87 Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 My assumption was like what was referred to previously, that's it's a reference to the tune of the same name on the "Goldfinger" soundtrack, and which was also covered by Sex Mob on their "Does Bond" CD. Quote
Guest the mommy Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 jeez, it is the name of a tune on a bond sountrack. what isn't there to make light of? i was going to change my name to "the jew in the lotus" but i thought people would get huffy. same thing here-not a big deal. it's a song. the guy or gal has nothing to explain. Quote
Guest the mommy Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 not that it's not ok to find things questionable and to want to find out what the deal is but then why not PM the guy or gal and not make it into a public inquisition? Quote
Adam Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 Now, if it were "Teasing the Koran," then we might have some problems! Quote
king ubu Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 Everybody making light of this, but I'm with Anselm. I'd like to know where this comes from and what was the intention. Well, I wondered, too - before I got to know about the Bond connection right here in this thread... but it seems the teasing man is not joining in here... and wanting to know does not exclude having some fun, imo. Claude Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 To the thread starter: Which Saint Vitus are you named after? The disease, the saint, the cathedral, the band, the statue or the dance troupe? http://saintvitus.com/SaintVitus/ Quote

I agree that it's OK to have some fun and I did. I disagree, however, with the notion that it was used as a title of a song makes it perfectly OK to tease Koreans. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 i was going to change my name to "the jew in the lotus" but i thought people would get huffy. I would've got it - that would be hip! Quote
Jazzmoose Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 Hey, it's not as odd as Saxophone Vagina... Quote
Jazzmoose Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 Kind of reminds me of the old Blue Note board when someone took Machine Gun to task for promoting violence. Quote
Saint Vitus Posted October 30, 2006 Author Report Posted October 30, 2006 Kind of reminds me of the old Blue Note board when someone took Machine Gun to task for promoting violence. Hey, I wouldn't have reacted to the name "The Korean." It was "Teasing" that gave me a pause. I'm sure the reaction would've been different if the name was "Shooting People with Machine Gun." Quote
Jazzmoose Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 Don't get me wrong, Anselm; I had the same concerns as you. I wouldn't have joked about it prior to hearing the explanation! Quote
Man with the Golden Arm Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 i thought Bond as well ... but hey "yer breath smells of kimchi, neener neener neener"! Quote
