The Magnificent Goldberg
Here's a serious question (well, almost) for a funny thread. I was just listening to Lee Morgan's CD of "Sonic boom". In addition to that LP, the CD also includes a session which was originally issued as the other session on Lee's "Procrastinator" double LP. This session has never had a title. I like to think of it as "Uncle Rough" the title of one of the Harold Mabern tunes. Anyone got any suggestions about what they feel this session should be called? Here's a list of the tunes. Free flow Stormy weather Mr Johnson The stroker Uncle Rough Claw-til-da Untitled boogaloo MG

Although, if you put that French domanatrix on the cover... Seriously, Free Flow sounds like a title that might have made to the streets it during that time, especially since it's the leadoff tune. Uncle Rough by Auntie Rough, eh? MG PA - no seriously it's probably the funkiest album Lee made. Most of his albums that I've heard only have one funky track. This has lots! That's why I like "Uncle Rough". Edited November 22, 2006 by The Magnificent Goldberg

For that matter "Claw-til-da" has always had a rather "visceral" sound to me. But I like fingernails, what can I say... So why don't we call it Lee Morgan - Sex? And include a remix of "The Rumproller" retitled "The Azz Tappa" just to seal the deal?
