Thanks for the greetings everyone. I've been a bit under the weather today with a touch of asthma, so it hasn't been the best day health wise, but I received some nice gifts and a enjoyed a pleasant family meal this evening. Now if the Maple Leafs can hold the 4-3 lead they had over the Flames (NHL hockey) at the end of the 2nd period, the day will be just fine. Oh, it's fine anyway since I listened to some good jazz earlier today (the Joe Pass Mosaic, & Gene Di Novi Plays Ellington & Strayhorn).

Thanks everyone. Yep, feeling good on my birthday this year, though I've had some sinus and ear problems over the past week. This time of year is a little tough for me with the fairly sudden changes in temperature. But it's been a good day - out to supper with my family, a couple of nice gifts, listened to to the first 2 discs of my new Art Farmer/ Benny Golson Jazztet box ( :tup:tup ) plus watched the new Dexter Gordon and Duke Ellington Jazz Icons DVD's. Lots to be thankful for!
