Big Wheel Posted August 15, 2003 Report Posted August 15, 2003 the Way-Back Machine So I've got nothing better to do while this board's down last night, and I happen upon this. Now, not everything is there by any stretch, but still, quite a resource for those who really want to find deleted threads. Also provides an interesting snapshot of the world B.S. (before Sangrey). P.S.: you can see anyone's email address on there...kinda scary but might be useful in getting in touch with long-lost posters. Quote
JazzKitten Posted August 15, 2003 Report Posted August 15, 2003 Thanks for discovering this site, Big Wheel! You've made it possible for me to reread one of my favorite BNBB discussions about metaphysics... ahem Here, ladies and germs, is the famous Dear Santa thread JazzKitten Quote
Big Wheel Posted August 15, 2003 Author Report Posted August 15, 2003 To give credit where credit is due, that site was mentioned a long time ago in a thread on the old board. I think back then it was mainly used to check out older color schemes/forum layouts of that board. Quote
Swinging Swede Posted August 15, 2003 Report Posted August 15, 2003 Ahem... The BNBB is back up again! Quote
Big Wheel Posted August 15, 2003 Author Report Posted August 15, 2003 D'oh. My bad. April 1 is my girlfriend's birthday so I must have missed out on some of the April Fools' Day festivities here. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted August 16, 2003 Report Posted August 16, 2003 This looks like a good place to ask this...I know that some were archiving certain threads from the BNBB as it was going away. Did anyone happen to save that absolutely hilarious parody of the Ken Burns jazz series, I believe written by the Red Menace (although with my memory, who knows?)? I can't even remember what thread it was on... Quote

catesta Posted August 16, 2003 Report Posted August 16, 2003 Classic. And if you don't mind me saying so, I think it brought a tear to my eye. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted August 16, 2003 Report Posted August 16, 2003 Thanks, Chaney;I guess it should have been "posted by the Red Menace, I believe...", but I'm sure glad to see it again. A true classic! Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted August 16, 2003 Report Posted August 16, 2003 Wow... I actually remember the board when it looked like that. I have to say, this software is so much better! Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted August 16, 2003 Report Posted August 16, 2003 Speaking of the old board, whatever happened to Foster? Is he around under a different name? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted August 16, 2003 Report Posted August 16, 2003 I was still single... Me too! Quote
