The Magnificent Goldberg Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 anyone heard? clips over on emusic AHHHH! I want that one! That's Earl Turbinton on sax - he was on Reuben Wilson's "A grovy situation". He played one of the most amazing and gripping solos I've ever heard at Professor Longhair's funeral. That's in the film "Piano players rarely ever play together". MG Quote

If you want to D/L one or two cuts, the one you MUST get is "Stupidity" - one of the great anthems of early (1963) soul. And of course "Sock it to "em, JB" BOTH parts. "Cry no more", if I recall, was pretty good too. I dare say you've got most of the other things on other compilations or whatever. MG PS Now I come to think of it, they missed a great one by not putting the A side of "Stupidity" on - "Can't nobody love you" - real heavy soul preaching. One of the 45s I most regret not keeping. The Magnificent Goldberg Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 dusty has the cd for $20 and it's in stock Oh, it's not something you can download, then. I certainly wouldn't get it for myself. Apart from "Stupidity" I've got all the ones I want on it. MG Quote
