Chick Corea, Live in Montreux 1981

I hadn't been that impressed with the post-'73 Chick Corea I've heard, but I picked up this live recording with Joe Henderson, Gary Peacock and Roy Haynes. Any thoughts? All I've absorbed so far is Joe's terrific playing.

I got this from emusic, its nice. Only time I've heard Roy use a China splash.

I like this one a lot! Great live sound, too - not your polished high end stuffe, but it sounds like you'd be there.

There's a pretty fine studio date of Henderson's with Chick, on MPS:

This was one of the "old" MPS CDs (released by an outfit called Motor Music), so it's most likely gone by now... I plugged it at least half a dozen times here, to no avail, seems I'm the only one who has and likes it...
