Guy Berger Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 (edited) I hadn't been that impressed with the post-'73 Chick Corea I've heard, but I picked up this live recording with Joe Henderson, Gary Peacock and Roy Haynes. Any thoughts? All I've absorbed so far is Joe's terrific playing. Guy Edited October 12, 2006 by Guy Quote
CJ Shearn Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 I got this from emusic, its nice. Only time I've heard Roy use a China splash. Quote
king ubu Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 I like this one a lot! Great live sound, too - not your polished high end stuffe, but it sounds like you'd be there. There's a pretty fine studio date of Henderson's with Chick, on MPS: This was one of the "old" MPS CDs (released by an outfit called Motor Music), so it's most likely gone by now... I plugged it at least half a dozen times here, to no avail, seems I'm the only one who has and likes it... Quote
