So which Fallout did you play, Conn? The first one or the second one? Both are great games.

FALLOUT2.

It was fun cruising around the desert with my "friends," Myron, Vic, the sharpshooter from the tavern near that cleaned up town (forgot his name.) Oh yes, Marcus with his machine gun.

Never figured out how to finish the game though. Couldn't rescue the tribespeople. Couldn't get through some doors, I think. Anyone know how to do it?

I just love the action points feature. It enables us to really plan out our moves. Works better than realtime.

Well, Interplay holds the rights to the Fallout brand and they've cancelled and restarted the project 3 times. Who knows if it's actually going through? My guess would be no, but there's always hope.

I would go to the Interplay website to find patches for Fallout2.

I played the first one. Haven't played any others just due to time. The first one was cool!

I don't have any time for gaming anymore which is a bummer because it's something I really enjoy. Oh well. I will, however, buy Fallout3 and try to play it when or if it comes out.

http://oolite.aegidian.org/

Oolite is a space sim game, inspired by Elite, powered by Objective-C and OpenGL, and designed as a small game that is easy for users to pick up, modify and expand upon. Almost every aspect of the game can be changed by using simple, free graphics packages and text-editors.

Originally written for Mac OS X, and under continuous development for over three years. Oolite is available for Mac OS X (10.3.9 and higher), Windows XP, and Linux. It requires at least a 400MHz processor, 256Mb of memory, and a graphics card capable of accelerating OpenGL graphics.

The game and source-code are offered for free under the GNU General Public License.

My Sega Saturn and City of Heroes for PC when I get time. My computer is still from 2004 era so I'm kinda in a pinch, I borrowed my best friend's XBOX 360 and almost beat Fallout3, which Bethesda did a great job on preserving the feel of the other games. Jim came over and saw it just the other day now he's off buying a new computer. I'm torn, since the new consoles are going to stick around for a while, I'm not sure if I should invest in one of them or a new pc.

i was building a new computer every two years but fell behind since this one has held up so long. I have 6 active game consoles i still use often, plus my Nintendo DS, so I shouldn't neglect them by buying another...it's a tough time for gamers on a budget. :P
