BeBop Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Never spent much time there, but now I can't seem to find the forums at all. Am I just dense today? Quote

mikelz777 Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 I'm still blocked as of 3:20 CST. Quote
kh1958 Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Click on the button that says "Centers"--one of the drop down items is Bulletin Boards. It works for me. Quote
mikelz777 Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 (edited) 4:55 CST and I still can't get in. I click on "bulletin board" from the "Centers" drop down menu, it flashes and the main page comes up. I click on "Community Bulletin Board", it flashes and the main page comes up. I click on one of the topics listed under "community bulletin board" and get the message, "Oops! The page you're looking for could not be found." It must not like me. mjzee Posted August 9, 2015 Report Posted August 9, 2015 I don't remember the last time I logged onto AAJ. I got an email from them yesterday: "Someone has tried to log into your account on All About Jazz Forum with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes." I did a Google search for AAJ, and Google says "This site may be hacked." Quote

I received a similar e-mail months ago. I haven't been to AAJ either in years. As I recall I ignored the e-mail & nothing happened. Quote

page Posted August 9, 2015 Report Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) Yes, this has been happening for a bit more than a month. If you guys still have that e-mail, can you please pass on the IP address mentioned or, when you'd prefer, post it here? It is a tough task barring all of those with the little volunteers present. I'll pass it on. Thanks. You won't have to do anything when you get such an e-mail, just make sure your password is a strong one so they (the Spammers) won't get in.My daughter received a similar email a couple of weeks ago.Ah, I didn't know that your daughter was there, Chuck. I have organized a women social group. She's welcome to join in. There are very little female members, same as here. Edited August 9, 2015 by page Quote

I was banished years ago.You won't have to register for the social group. It is for the female members present. When she can't remember registering for the AAJ forums, that seems odd. I'll pass on that information. I'm sorry to hear you got banned. I've always hated these things. I did 'meet' again some friends here who've had that experience. Rules are very strickt, there are negative and possitive sides to that. There are some people I still miss from years back, not that they all got banned but some just choose to go. That's a pity. page Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 About a strong password, you should always make sure you have one and change it regularly. Also on this forums of courseA strong password has a minimum of 7 digits; make sure to include a random capital (i.e. not in the first position), a numeric and a top line character (! " £ $ % ^ & * ( ) etc.)When you got e-mail or an request to give your password or any other personal info it won't be from the forums, so do not give that info since it is a phishing attempt to take over your account. When you still can get in, you can post the IP address on this thread: http://forums.allaboutjazz.com/showthread.php?59878-Computer-Security If you can't and you still want to help you can post it on this thread or send me a PM and I'll pass the info on. I think it would be a good idea for organissimo to barr those IP addresses too. Thanks for your help.kind regards, page Quote
