At halftime, it's

Richmond  6.4.40
Adelaide  4.7.31

Adelaide didn't do much in the second quarter.  Richmond scored all four of the quarter's goals.

The rain has been coming down, and the ball has become noticeably slippery.

Richmond dominated the third quarter as well, and after three the score is

Richmond  11.8.74
Adelaide  5.10.40

Adelaide has scored only one goal since the first quarter, so to pull this one out they will have to wake up and score some goals no matter what Richmond does.

After 37 miserable years my team finally played in and won the Grand Final GA. One of the happiest day of my life on Saturday!!! 100,000 people there. I couldn't get a ticket to the Grand Final, but got to go to the Preliminary Final, it was nearly as good. The 'Tiger Army' was reborn!!! It's been a double blessing this weekend. Winning the Grand Final, and the Grant Green documentary appears on Vimeo the next day!!!!!!!

I have remembered this year!

This year's game will be this Friday night (Saturday morning) starting at 9:30 pm pacific time.

The Richmond Tigers will meet the Greater Western Sydney Giants.  I'm going to have to study up on the Giants, because I don't think I've heard of them before.

The Grand Final is usually played the last Saturday of September, but this year it will be played Oct. 24.

For the first time in 123 years it will not be played in Victoria, but instead in Queensland.

Here is where we are now.

The game will be played next weekend, at night.  I haven't yet determined what the US time will be.

Richmond will appear in its third Grand Final in four years.  Their opponent has not yet been determined

Here are links to radio networks carrying the game on the web.  In the past, some were free while others cost money.

*****

As we North Americans would expect, the first Grand Final played at night had a huge television audience.

Of note, Geelong had a 22-point lead in the second quarter, but couldn't keep it.

This year's Grand Final is Saturday, which I think means in a little more than 24 hours.

The Melbourne Demons will meet the Western Bulldogs.

I think the game will begin at 5:15 am eastern (US), which would be about five hours later than usual.

You can watch it here for $30.00.
