Rooster_Ties Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 Well, now. Isn't THAT interesting... Quote
bertrand Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 You gotta warn us before we open these postings at work!!! Bertrand. Quote
jlhoots Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 Whoa!! Never saw that "cover" before. Quote
jazzbo Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 Maybe it's just because I do a lot of cooking, but this is still my favorite of the NOT CLASSIC BLUE NOTE covers of recent years. Quote
mikeweil Posted August 12, 2003 Report Posted August 12, 2003 Let's ask b3-er to retitle this thread "Blue Note Uncovered". Slightly off topic, but the Blue Note Hip Chicks Series was a smash on the BNBB: Greasy stuff Quote
mikeweil Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Had to think about it for a while ... Since this is the only Blue Note LP I bought twice just to frame the cover- it still hangs at the wall behind me as I write this - I guess this is my all time favourite Blue Note LP cover: Quote
JSngry Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 What's up with the button on her shirt? Quote
catesta Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 What's up with the button on her shirt? And why aren't more women wearing that same shirt? Quote
jazzbo Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 At least 2. Some have extra. Mingus did. Me too. Quote
JSngry Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 An extra? You mean, like a spare, in case one falls off? Most shirts today DO come like that! Quote
jazzbo Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 I've got two extra. But no one is going to remove one or sew one on! Quote
jazzbo Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 (edited) The one that started the thread at Blue Note I believe. . . .Comes with extra forehead buttons too! Edited August 13, 2003 by jazzbo Quote
jazzbo Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Grant Green never looked THIS good. . . . Quote
Dmitry Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Are these covers for real? I've never seen 'em before. Quote
jazzbo Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 They are definitely for real. . . I didn't make them up in photoshop! From Blue Note France, available from Dusty Groove et al. Quote
mikeweil Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Except for the really nude cover art girl, these are all real, anthologies issued by EMI in France I believe. Amazon in France carries them, they include some rare tracks. Go to Amazon France, type "blue note divers" into the search field, and you will get most of them. Quote
jazzbo Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 We've taken this voyage haven't we? Quote
jazzbo Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Man, say this title five times real fast! Quote
