RDK Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 Don't forget, a set isn't really complete without a copy of the phone bill showing the time/date you called to order the set and a photo (digital is acceptable) of the postman delivering it to your door. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 Were the sets bought from Mosaic?? /Shaft Yes - but it was in the 10% off sale and they ran out before the end of August. So I reckon everything was done in a hurry when they got a new supply. MG Are you sure that in your frenzied excitement to open the box immediately and start playing the music that very instant, you didn't perhaps throw away the invoice? I'm sure that if you email them, they'll send you another copy of the invoice with the number, and your set will finally be complete! (How could you even begin to think about listening to the music without knowing the set number? ) I keep all my invoices for Internet goods. Funnily enough, I didn't get an invoice in my latest delivery this morning from CDBaby. Perhaps there's a sneaky invoice thief who's secretly opening my packages to see what I'm buying and how much I'm spending.... MG Quote

Kyo Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 I don't know what people see in those Mosaic sets to begin with... I mean, NO obi strip? Quote
Face of the Bass Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 Personally, I always demand that Mosaic authenticate each set I buy with a piece of DNA from the artist in question, which is taped (or in some cases, splattered) over the inside cover. That way if I ever want confirmation that my Stan Kenton is the real deal, I can just order an exhumation of his remains to cross-compare with the DNA sample in my booklet. Pretty simple, really. The Magnificent Goldberg Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 A wop boppa loobop a lop bam boom! or am I thinking of the wrong Little Rich? Who but a rich comedian would chuckle (a little richly)? MG Quote
Tony Pusey Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 Is that an anagram? Or just a profundity? Either way you have lost me! Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 I assumed you were American (this sounds strange) - Rich Little is an American comedian (actually, I think he may be Canadian). MG Quote
Tony Pusey Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 I am Swedish! But Cockney born. Took Swedish nationality awhile back. Cockney is my mother tongue... Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Mosaic sent my invoice in a separate letter! No doubt they found it lying around the place. Their offices must be a bit tidier than mine used to be! So I now can inform the assembled multitudes that my box is 2411 - nearly half way through. MG Quote
Ron S Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 You must feel so much better now--so much more . . . . . complete. -_- Quote

Ken Dryden Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 I always got a kick out of rock bootlegs that were labeled "limited edition of _____ copies." Yeah, like they only made 300.... Quote
