Soulstation1 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Stallworth suspended for the 09 season Quote
Chalupa Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Eagles just signed Michael Vick! The dog owner in me is bummed. However, the Eagles fan in me is intrigued. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted August 14, 2009 Author Report Posted August 14, 2009 Eagles just signed Michael Vick! The dog owner in me is bummed. However, the Eagles fan in me is intrigued. He's probably better than the overrated Donovan Mcnabb. Eagles and Pats are playing tonight in a matchup between the two "deepest" teams, according to several sportswriters. I really don't see anybody stopping the Patriots once the season starts. Quote

vajerzy Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 WHAT are they doing signing Ron Mexico???? I am so mad at that....stupid move by the Eagles....the guy's been an arrogant A-hole ever since he joined the league...and a mediocre QB.....better double the PR budget this year......I'm going to stowe all of my Eagle gear in a closet until he's gone......I thought they learned their lesson after T.O. I hope they lose every game....man, I'm pissed. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted August 14, 2009 Author Report Posted August 14, 2009 Vick paid his dues. He deserves another chance. Of course, I'm not a dog lover, but I'd feel the same way if he had hurt cats, which I do love. I'm sure he doesn't plan to harm another dog again. Quote

Aggie87 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Cowboys are playing the Raiders right now. So far their first team offense, defense, and the special teams aren't looking very sharp. I'm glad it's not the regular season yet! Quote
Free For All Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Of course, I'm not a dog lover, but I'd feel the same way if he had hurt cats, which I do love. Catfight! Reeeeer! Quote
vajerzy Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Vick belongs on the Cowboys- where players go for second chances. Quote
Aggie87 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Vick belongs on the Cowboys- where players go for second chances. I'm actually surprised Jerry Jones didn't snatch him up - he's usually infatuated with players like Vick - mainly because they're notorious and (in Jones' mind) create more curiousity for his team.... not that they may actually be beneficial on the field. IMO of course. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted August 14, 2009 Author Report Posted August 14, 2009 In the meantime, Pats look awfully good. Brady's offense defeated the Eagles within a quarter. Quote
vajerzy Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Pats look good again.... I'll get the Organissimo picks website all cleaned up and ready this weekend so invites can be sent a few weeks beforehand. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 We've got some work to do !!!!!!!!!! Quote
Chalupa Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 I was in Modell's sporting goods today and they already have rack upon rack of Eagles jerseys/shirts w/ #7 Vick on them for sale. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Vick couldn't play for us, the Dawg Pound wouldn't OK it I will know where we stand after this week's game We play the Lions Quote
PHILLYQ Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 I heard t-shirts are being sold that say 'Vick's an Eagle, hide your beagle' Quote
Soulstation1 Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Snoop Dogg should be Vick's spokesman I do like the fact that Tony Dungey is in Vick's corner Dungey is a totally classy man Check out Marcus Vick's rap sheet He is a total F-up!!! Quote
Matthew Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Brett Favre please go away already, your time is over.... Quote
Soulstation1 Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Maybe Favre will play a season for every team so they can make money off his jerseys Quote
Matthew Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 (edited) Maybe Favre will play a season for every team so they can make money off his jerseys What I don't get is why a team would damage their future for Favre? There's no way that Favre will get the Vikings deep into the playoffs. If one thing was made clear last year it is that Farve gets worse as the season goes on, and he cannot take the pounding any more. So, why rest your season on the back of some forty year old, who can't play at that high level anymore? Adrian Peterson is in for heavy going this year. Edit: For spelling Edited August 18, 2009 by Matthew Quote
Dan Gould Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Most of y'all think I'm a bad person anyway, so I'll say this publicly: I'm hoping to see Favre stretchered off the field into permanent retirement. Note I did not say "with a life-changing brain injury" or "for a lengthy hospital stay". I'd just like to see his bell rung a la Joe Montana vs the Giants such that he understands, finally and forever, that he isn't the savior and that he can't compete at this level. Plus it would be nice karmic justice for the way he's fed his ego the last several years. Especially nice if a Packers LB does it to him, in fact. Quote
Matthew Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Wow! I just watched Chris Carter's take on Favre, and he was not a happy camper ... at ... all. Wow. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted August 18, 2009 Author Report Posted August 18, 2009 Favre might be a tool, but there's no doubt that he makes the Vikings a legitimate Super Bowl threat. With that great offensive line and running game, and now Mr. Gunslinger, things will get interesting indeed. Quote
