T.D. Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 Is it me or all the early games this sunday are pretty lame ? Agreed. The whole slate seems on the lame side, but the early games are particular clinkers. Quote
alocispepraluger102 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 looking forward giants-eagles tonight always a war. Quote
papsrus Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 There's a lot of mediocre-to-bad teams in the league, me thinks. How bad is Carolina? What a stinkeroo of an effort against the Bucs. There's a big dropoff in this league after the Colts and Patriots, and probably the Cowboys. But, it's still pretty early. The Chargers are crazy for dumping a coaching staff that had them at 14-2 last year. Knuckleheads. Quote
GARussell Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 My man Jeff Garcia (former Calgary Stampeder) continues to look good. Quote
jlhoots Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Green Bay 4-0. Favre incredible so far. Not saying they're the Colts or Patriots but certainly way above pre-season expectations. Quote

Next week vs. the Bears on Sunday night (5-0?). I can't see Favre getting beaten by Griese. Seems like all you gotta do to beat the Bears is stop the run. They go to the pass, it's over. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 browns kicked the ravens' ass Quote
Noj Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Raiders have already equalled last year's win total. Culpepper should have been starting from the jump. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted October 1, 2007 Author Report Posted October 1, 2007 browns kicked the ravens' ass yeah, and I picked it as my upset of the week. Ravens have problems on offense, but they are also missing Adalius Thomas, who was perhaps their most valuable linebacker last year (even with Suggs on the team.) Quote
Free For All Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Raiders have already equalled last year's win total. Culpepper should have been starting from the jump. Culpepper was obviously extra-motivated to put the screws to the Fins. Hopefully his inspired (and healthy) play will continue. Quote
Tim McG Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Niners lose...oh what a shock. Go Chargers. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Posted October 2, 2007 Cincy is trying hard, but Patriots are a beast of a team! Quote
alocispepraluger102 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Cincy is trying hard, but Patriots are a beast of a team! a fine game, indeed. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted October 3, 2007 Author Report Posted October 3, 2007 (edited) Look out people. #37 is coming back for this weekend's game. He's rested and mean. Pat defence is already looking ornery, and Rodney will only add more of this attitude. Look out rest-of-the-league! Suspended safety Rodney Harrison is eligible to return to the Patriots today after serving his four-game suspension for violating the league's banned substance policy, and according to his agent, he can't wait. "He's big-time pumped up, ready to go," said the agent, Steve Feldman. Edited October 3, 2007 by connoisseur series500 Quote

GARussell Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 Cadillac Williams is out for the season. I suspect Jeff Garcia is not going to look so good without a running game to help him out. Quote
papsrus Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 Cadillac Williams is out for the season. I suspect Jeff Garcia is not going to look so good without a running game to help him out. Pittman. ... but they're playing the Colts. They could probably run Jim Brown and it might not make a difference. Quote
Noj Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 Colts are likely without Marvin Harrison, and Joseph Addai might have to sit too. Quote
Tim McG Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 (edited) Alex Smith is out for the next few weeks due to a shoulder separation [probably the best thing that could happen to the Niners right now] Bad news: Enter 35 year-old Trent Dilfer. Just shoot me. Edited October 4, 2007 by GoodSpeak Quote

connoisseur series500 Posted October 4, 2007 Author Report Posted October 4, 2007 (edited) For you Arizona Cardinal fans out there: Now that Kurt Warner has been given the starter's position, Matt Leinert gets Warner's old job. Edited October 4, 2007 by connoisseur series500 Quote

Tim McG Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 (edited) Actually, there's talk that Smith is done for the year. Perfect. As if we Niners fans haven't suffered enough. Losing Smith isn't all that big a deal [he, well....sucks basically] it's what the Niners will replace him with that worries me. Go Niners Ugh. Edited October 4, 2007 by GoodSpeak Quote
