Pats looked unstoppable.

Brady to Moss is just unfair. I can think of no other word to describe it.

It's like Tiger going into the last round with a lead....it's OVER!

the conn man must be ecstatic..

There was absolutely no pressure whatsoever against Brady. He didn't even have to sidestep a defender. Just stood in the pocket for 5 seconds or longer all afternoon long and then deliver. Jets' defensive scheme was simply awful and I've read that Mangini was visibly upset with Bob Sutton (Jets DC). While the Pats have reloaded and may very well go on to another Supe, the better teams, particularly in the AFC, should provide more resistance. Looking forward to San Diego's visit to Foxboro next week.

The Cowboys have some problems on defense, which is surprising, given the optimism about Wade Phillips and how he was going to turn this 3-4 into a monster here. Terence Newman has some sort of foot problem that's apparently going to linger all season, and he's our best player in the secondary. NT Jason Ferguson is apparently out for the season with a torn bicep. His backup, Jay Ratliff, played okay, but isn't as good as Ferguson. Greg Ellis is having some sort of drama or another about playing time and respect.

So it looks like the Boys will have to win shootouts this year, if the defense doesn't play any better than it did last night. Luckily, they seem to have the weapons to do that, when things are clicking. If Terry Glenn is able to return healthy, they could be really good. The guys who got the additional playing time in his absence did well (Crayton & Hurd). Jason Witten was a beast last night, and T.O. had a good second half.

I think Romo deserves whatever contract extension the Cowboys will pay him. Finally appear to have a real QB, after Quincy Carter/Vinny Testaverde/Ryan Leaf/Chad Hutchinson/Drew Henson/Tony Banks/Drew Bledsoe/whoever else they gambled and lost on.

browns looked worse than expected

i might downgrade from 4/5 wins

............ looked like a very poorly coached high school team.

Very true. I had my eyes on the game while watching the Pats-Jets, and I couldn't believe the number of dropped passes by open receivers. Bill Belichick benches receivers who drop a pass. You've got to earn the right to play for the team. You have to punish those people; otherwise, they'll do it again.

Last year, Doug Gabriel didn't play another game for the Patriots after he dropped a pass. He was released a few games later.

Yes but division foes know each other well, and the Jets always give the Pats a hard time. They fought like lions even when they were behind. Pennington had a great drive while hobbling on a twisted ankle. But the difference in class between the two teams was too great.

I think there has been recently a real shortage of competent receivers. I noticed this a couple of years ago when listening to Canadian league games it seemed like everyone except a couple of all-stars were always dropping the ball. At the time I thought it was a Canadian league problem, but come Super Bowl time the Steelers played the Seahawks and there were plenty of dropped passes by both teams in that game. And they were the conference champions!

I blame it on college and pro coaches who select their players based on speed rather than the ability to catch. Give me a slow-footed guy who never drops the ball like Danny Abramowitz or Lionel Taylor anyday. I think the Canadian league used to be loaded with guys like that.

No wonder the Pats are good - they spy on the other teams with cameras.....

(just kidding Conn.....maybe :P)

Let's discuss this.

I guess NE knew that Randy Moss was going to be guarded by three defenders when they called the play to throw the ball to him. ;)

I guess NE knew the Jets special team formation was a certain way so that Ellis Hobbs was directed to take off from the endzone and take it all the way.

Maybe the info was meant for the next game....

Quite a good game between the Bengals and the Ravens right now.

Ravens got robbed at the end, with that offensive push off call in the endzone on what should have been at least the tying touchdown. There wasn't a penalty on that play, as far as i could see, and should have been a score.

Of course, there was a defensive penalty on the next play, so a fresh set of downs, and still couldn't score.
