Indestructible!
Thanks Jim! What a great collection of videos... check out how young Henry Grimes looks in that first video ("Paul's Pal" from Stockholm 1957)! I saw Sonny play in NYC last week, and the man still has "it"! Of course, he never lost "it", but damn... putting on a 1 hour 40 minute set, through a light drizzle of rain, is impressive for for anyone, let alone someone who just turned 76! And, he looked like he could've played another 2 hours if he had the chance! Cheers, Shane
JSngry
check out how young Henry Grimes looks in that first video ("Paul's Pal" from Stockholm 1957)! Dude - he was either 21 or 22. He didn't "look" young, he was young!
DukeCity
What a great way to start my Sunday! Thanks for posting that. Those cadenzas (cadenzae?) kill me. Amazing stream-of-consciousness playing. So, what's up with the new studio record? Has there been a thread on it yet?

DukeCity
What a great way to start my Sunday! Dude, New Mexico really does move at a slower pace than the rest of the US, doesn't it?!?!?! Shit, that's right; today's Monday! That means I missed Trane's birthday. Luckily, today is FreeForAll's birthday. BTW: New Mexico's state motto: Carpe Mañana
