Dan Gould
I have to admit that when they started the new campaign, it didn't do much for me and as tired as I was of the caveman spot, it was still much funnier. Now, I'm starting to like the new spots, particularly the VO guy (hey, another VO guy can dream, right?) and the Little Richard spot. So what do you say? JSngry
I've been liking the gecko spots too, but they're starting to skate on very thin ice...
Tom 1960
Some of the stuff is pretty funny. The Litttle Richard segment is a hoot. I wonder how many takes it took to get through that one without Richard or the woman featured in the commercial cracking up at least once? jazzbo
"I was hit. . . in the rear". . . THAT one cracks me up.

Christiern
Of the celebrity spots, Charo is my favorite, but why have you not included the cockney gecko? I think those ads are brilliant and better than all the others. Always hated the cavemen.
Chuck Nessa
I too am a big fan of the gecko.
GA Russell
Is he a cockney? I thought he was doing an impression of Roddy McDowell!
connoisseur series500
I love the new spots. Charo is really good, but my personal favorite is Little Richard.
Christiern
Is he a cockney? I thought he was doing an impression of Roddy McDowell! That's pure cockney. Roddy didn't speak like that, but I suppose he could have if called upon to do so.
Chuck Nessa
Charo makes me really nervous. She's done that for about 30 years.
jazzbo
Jack Woods is apparently the cockney voice. Kelsey Grammar was an earlier voice.
Dan Gould
I just saw the new Peter Graves version, shades of "Have you ever seen a grown man naked?"
rostasi
I like the "hip-hop" Verne Troyer one!
RDK
How come, in the TV Sucks thread, I admitted to watching a lot of tv and yet haven't seen a single one of these celebrity Geico spots, but you guys who always complain about the boob tube, hate all the new shows, and insist that you haven't watched anything in years are suddenly fans of some frickin' commercial? btw, I like the caveman ad... chris olivarez
I don't know who the announcer is on the new Geico spot but I enjoyed that one and the Bacarach one was a hoot as well. On the whole I appreciate the creative chances that Geico takes but I would never by insurance from them. I considered their online questionnare too intrusive and they gave me a shitty quote to boot. I think a lot of TV just goes right by most folks.
Big Al
Haven't seen the Charo one. Gotta agree that the gecko is starting to wear very thin. My favorite is the one with professional movie announcer. THAT one cracks me up!
Big Al
Side topic: if it was you, which professional celebrity/whatever would you have tell your story? I'd wish for Jackie McLean to tell my story thru the magic of his alto sax.

Aw hell...toss in Cecil Taylor too. side order of Elvin and Rashid Ali, I'll let them pick the bass player. jmjk
As an employee of Geico's #1 competitor in New York, I despise these commercials, and anyone who buys insurance from them because of a charismatic lizard DESERVES what is in store for them. But as a TV watcher, I LOVE their commercials!! They're very well done and my company could really take a hint here...

Brad
I love the Charo spot and it reminds of the days when she and Xavier Cugat used to appear on the Merv Griffin show. What a howl they were.
Jazzmoose
Hmmm...you guys are scaring me since I actually have GEICO insurance for my motorcycle (but haven't seen the ads); any recommendations?

JM if you're thinking of changing your carrier see if State Farm has motorcycle insurance. I got them for my car because they gave me the best deal but hopefully I won't have to put it to the test anytime soon.
