Soulstation1
i'm leaning towards seeing LBJ and the cavs instead of the heat they both play in phoenix around the middle of jan Edited December 27, 2006 by Soulstation1

Jim R
Crazy win for the Pistons last night. The officiating was terrible throughout the whole game, but the Nets got screwed at the end. The Warriors dominated the Sixers last night in Oakland. It was over by halftime. For some reason, the refs seemed to apply new rules to the game, perhaps because they felt sorry for Philly... ? There were a bunch of missed calls (mostly in favor of the Sixers), and among them I saw several intentional fouls (really obvious ones where guys were grabbing/hacking someone to prevent a layup or a dunk) that none of the officials saw. Some of the most inept officiating I've seen in years. If the W's hadn't been up 20, I might have gotten on the damn telephone. Guy Berger
On Thursday, Phoenix visits Dallas and Utah visits San Antonio -- western conference powers battle it out. Unfortunately only the Phoenix game is televised. Guy

Jim Alfredson
Rip scores 51 and the Pistons lose to the NY Knicks RIP got fouled on his last shot of the 3 OT (the shot that would've given the Pistons the lead) and got a no-call. Pistons got screwed last night, the Nets got screwed in their game against the Pistons on Tuesday. That's the way it goes.

Jim Alfredson
That's the truth. It is a shame, but the Pistons had plenty of chances to win it. Fouling Marbury beyond the 3-point line with almost no time on the clock at near the end of the 2 OT when you're up by 3 was pretty stupid. What? Did Derek Fisher get traded to Detroit? (obviously I'm still not over all the stupid shit D-Fish did when he was a Warrior)

Guy Berger
Noj and I were discussing the excellence of the Phoenix/Dallas game. Dirk pulls it out with a second left... Iverson had a GREAT game with the Nuggets! Guy
Soulstation1
the leagues seems boring, maybe it's cuz 80% of the teams are under a .500 winning %
Guy Berger
Warriors are getting clobbered by the Kings. (!!!) JRich's hand is fractured. Guy Edited December 31, 2006 by Guy
Jim Alfredson
the leagues seems boring, maybe it's cuz 80% of the teams are under a .500 winning % I honestly think it has to do with the new ball. What really sucks is the Pistons face the Suns today without Chauncey. The injuries across the NBA this year have been unbelievable.
Jim R
The Warriors are down to two guards, and Baron has been over-used lately as it is. Hopefully his body holds out. At least Dunleavy can handle the ball up top a bit, but Mullin will apparently need to start looking around for another guy in the short term. I'm glad I missed that Sacto game last night. Jim Alfredson
Well, the Pistons almost won the game, even without Chauncey. If they had made just a couple more 3's (they were what, 1 of 14?) they would've won it. I'm actually impressed at how well they played against the Suns without Mr. Big Shot leading the charge. That is a good sign!

Guy Berger
I'm watching the Warriors barely holding off the Hornets (so far). Without Monta and JRich this is not a good team. edit: Grizz will pick up win #8 tomorrow. Guy Edited January 3, 2007 by Guy
Jim R
I'm watching the Warriors barely holding off the Hornets (so far). Without Monta and JRich this is not a good team. True. If we hadn't been playing against another team that's missing some guys, things might have been different. Still, Baron was impressive in the latter stages, and Matt Barnes continues to blossom into an impact player who might just help keep us afloat with his scoring while JRich is out. Good to see Murph back as well... we needed his defense and rebounding.
Guy Berger
Good to see Murph back as well... we needed his defense and rebounding. Jim, Are you sure we are talking about the same player? I don't think Murph knows how to spell defense, much less play it. Guy
Jim R
Point taken Guy, I just meant in terms of his presence and size in the interior... an extra big body in the paint, and at least he's got enough experience to know where to position himself. At least he contributed something tonight (12 boards, 1 block, and only 1 pf). I just wonder how much worse off we would have been if he couldn't have suited up. Patrick
Tough, ugly win for the Cavs over the Spurs last night 82-78. Cavs shot 36% from the field and 62% from the line, scoring nearly half their pts (38) in the 4th qtr. And the officiating wasn't too good (at least according to the Cavs radio guy, and I presume, Poppovich and Carlesimo who collected 3 techs between them). Nice to see Larry Hughes as the main instigator during the late comeback/surge. Now 9 of next 10 on road. With Sixers beating Nuggets, Bulls nearly beating Suns, and Cavs over Spurs, maybe the Eastern Conference showed a pulse last night, however briefly. Jim R
Matt Barnes continues to blossom into an impact player who might just help keep us afloat with his scoring while JRich is out... Wow... Barnes had 23 in the first half against the Griz...
