I'm with you. Give me a jammy fruit bomb any day!!

If you can get it in the U.S., try this one:

vinosia_orus_primitivo_lieblings-weine1.

Vinosia Orus Primitivo IGT - Primitivo is the Italian name for the Zinfandel grape.

This weekend's evening bottle:

Roche de Belanne

CARIGNAN VIEILLES VIGNES, PAYS D’HÉRAULT IGP 2017

We've opened another bottle on Wednesday to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. I'm glad I bought a whole box of it a few weeks ago, as it's now out of stock at my wine shop. Our favourite French red, Carignan, when well done, has an incomparable flavour.

If you have a chance give this Carignan a try .... :

Price is around Euro 14 (for the preferable 2015/16 vintages) ....

Last night on the annual Wiesbaden Wine Week at the booth of our favourite Rheingau vinery:

I'm not familiar with that wine, but very familiar with the Rheingauer Weinwoche! I think this picture is taken from inside the Rathaus.  I played my trumpet on the steps of the Rathaus for a Christmas performance a few times back in the early 1980s.

I lived in Wiesbaden for four years, and my parents lived there for twelve years, so I continued visiting them a couple of times per year even after I'd moved.

Later I lived in Stuttgart as well, and my son was born there.

If the cards line up properly I may live in Germany again some day, I love it there.
