J Larsen Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Also, the robustos are not the most expenxive in the Cohiba line-up. Robusto is just a size, isn't it? One size smaller than a Churchill? I think they do have several lines, with several sizes within each line. Quote

Big Wheel Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Just finished a Deschutes Buzzsaw Brown ale and am now brewing a pot of mediocre white tea (I'm trying to get rid of the stuff so I can go buy some much better tea and not feel like I'm wasting what I've got). I enjoyed my first Brooklyn Brown but I was really wowed by the Brooklyn Oktoberfest I had two years back. That was good stuff. Quote

mikeweil Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 (edited) I'm gonna brew me some Earl Grey Tea next - the last, regrettably, of the fine brand I bought in Antwerpen. Edited July 9, 2007 by mikeweil Quote

Kalo Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 2001 Clos Du Val Ariadne Napa Valley white Bordeaux style blend, 74% Semillon, 26% Sauvignon Blanc. Not bad but not great, either. However, it was a freebie... Quote
Shawn Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 I hardly ever drink any more (maybe twice a year) but this past Friday was one of those times...I'm definitely not as young as I used to be. Somehow I managed to drink an entire 5th of Bacardi and was still able to walk around and function. But the next morning...whew...felt like I had been drinking battery acid all night. I would say that I'd wait another six months before I drink again...but with my birthday coming up in 3 weeks I doubt I can hold myself to that. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 I think there's a thread somewhere here, or on AAJ, for hangover cures. MG Quote
Guy Berger Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 saturday night...a 40 of colt 45, half a bottle of white horse whiskey...subway ride home at 6:30 am...but does it all equal herpes? i am hoping not. Unless you rode a tractor, you probably didn't get herpes. Guy Quote

Yes, the Hitachino white is quite good but also crazy expensive. The red rice ale they make is ok but strange. I sometimes see the Japanese Classic Ale in stores and may pick one up after I've tried a bunch of other stuff. Quote
alocispepraluger102 Posted July 22, 2007 Author Report Posted July 22, 2007 (edited) The recipe for Rogue Chocolate Stout was created several years ago for export to Japan. The exported twelve ounce Chocolate Bear Beer bottle label is in Kanji and features a teddy bear with a pink heart on his belly. Chocolate Stout was released for Valentine's Day in 2001 in a twenty-two ounce bottle for the US market. The label features a Roguester (Sebbie Buhler) on the label. The bottled of Chocolate Stout is available on a very limited basis in the US, so get it while you can! Hedonistic! Ebony in color with a rich creamy head. The mellow flavor of oats, chocolate malts, and real chocolate are balanced perfectly with the right amount of hops for a bittersweet finish. Chocolate Stout is brewed with 10 ingredients: Northwest Harrington and Klages, Crystal 135-165 and Beeston Chocolate Malts, Cascade Hops, Rolled Oats and Roasted Barley, Natural Chocolate Flavor, Free Range Coastal Waters and PacMan Yeast. Chocolate Stout is available year-round only in the classic 22-ounce bottle and on draft. Measurements: 15 degrees Plato, IBU 69, Apparent Attenuation 77, Lovibond 135 degrees. No Chemicals, Additives, or Preservatives Edited July 22, 2007 by alocispepraluger102 Quote
