Pls share your impressions thereafter ....

Evolved nicely in the bottle overnight. Went well with the duck. Excellent wine & well priced.

Good for another 10 years, but we like them young & bright.

I just got back from a short trip to wine country in Northern Virginia. It was fun and there were some excellent wines. We ended up going to 5 wineries, with our favorite being Zephaniah Farm Vineyard in Leesburg. All of our favorite wines were whites as almost every red we tasted was far too wimpy for our palates.

Our favorite overall wine was a white blend from Zephaniah called Steamship White. Unfortunately, these wineries are all too small to make an entry into the retail game, so if I want any more, it's mail order.

The landscape surrounding Zephania looks lovely ....

Chateau Le Boscq "Le Boscq" 2014 .... ripe Cabernet all over the place .... available for a pittance and example for why Bordeaux remains an eldorado for QPR reds (even more as the climate change grants great results on the left bank regurarly) ....
