Son-of-a-Weizen
Curb Your Enthusiasm Six Feet Under is one of the best shows of the last decade. Curb Your Enthusiasm Damn that's a funny show! Six Feet Under is one of the best shows of the last decade. I agree. We watch stuff like CSI & House.....and some of the Brit mystery/political stuff. That 3 DVD series 'House of Cards' about the super ambitious PM is pretty good stuff. Tonite we'll start in on "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" series. I was just up in the cabin on Lake Superior for 16 days with no tube......just a couple of Twins games on a tiny staticy am radio at night. Just like the old days. Nice. Stefan Wood
I've cut 99% of my regular tv viewing, excepting a rare sports event and the evening news. I watch a lot of dvds instead.
J Larsen
When I moved into my current apartment, three years ago, I didn't take the cable with me. I've been without TV that whole time. With the money I save on the cable bill, I can buy or rent any of the shows I want to see when they come out on DVD anyway (that just means the HBO series plus South Park). I'd say that and cutting back my time on the net have improved my life a lot (the later observation may not be be popular around here - no offense intended). BruceH
I went cold-turkey on TV for 4 or 5 years in the 80's, didn't even own one. Then someone gave me one for Christmas and I got back into it. Started watching Law & Order and Homicide and never looked back.

kinuta
Japanese tv is awful and dreadful beyond words . I don't watch anything apart from the odd cookery show. I do however need a daily fix of the news , BBC, NBC, ABC and News Hour are required viewing. I mainly use the tv for watching dvds and xvid, of which I watch a lot.
