Honestly, how hard would it have been to take a sample from Karr and Fed Ex it to Boulder for testing? I could be wrong but I would bet that as a matter of law, they had to have him in custody in the states before they could legally extract DNA for testing. Quote

I'm sure you're right, Dan (or at least I hope you're right). And could you imagine the stink if someone - in Thailand no less - were allowed to get away after "admitting" to the crime because the local cops dragged their ass to airtight their case? I'm sure the media grasping at straws and the Boulder cops eager to show progress exagerated the importance of this lead, but i don't feel Karr's arrest was unwarranted. He is still wanted for other crimes as well. Quote
