Kyo Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 I'll be ordering some stuff from Early Records later this week and I'll probably pick up some of the Clifford Jordan Blue Notes. I already have the US RVG of Blowing in from Chicago and I think it sounds horrible (way too trebly) - and I'm *FAR* from an audiophile. Can anyone tell me if the current 1500 Yen edition available in Japan sounds considerably better? Quote
.:.impossible Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 If you are talking about the cymbals, they seem a little hot on the TOCJ. The ride is a constant, but the hi-hat sounds great! The rest of the kit does to, for that matter. I have not heard the RVG, so I can't compare, but the mid and low seem fairly balanced in proportion. I can't tell you if it will be an improvement... Kyo Posted August 8, 2006 Author Report Posted August 8, 2006 Yeah, I definitely mean the cymbals. They're overpowering most of the rest of the music at times, very hard to listen to (especially on a stereo with weak bass like in my car). Quote
