Clifford Jordan/John Gilmore - Blowing in from Chicago

I'll be ordering some stuff from Early Records later this week and I'll probably pick up some of the Clifford Jordan Blue Notes. I already have the US RVG of Blowing in from Chicago and I think it sounds horrible (way too trebly) - and I'm *FAR* from an audiophile. Can anyone tell me if the current 1500 Yen edition available in Japan sounds considerably better?

If you are talking about the cymbals, they seem a little hot on the TOCJ. The ride is a constant, but the hi-hat sounds great! The rest of the kit does to, for that matter. I have not heard the RVG, so I can't compare, but the mid and low seem fairly balanced in proportion. I can't tell you if it will be an improvement...

Yeah, I definitely mean the cymbals. They're overpowering most of the rest of the music at times, very hard to listen to (especially on a stereo with weak bass like in my car).
