rostasi Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 (edited) even if it didn't hit you in the face, my remark was in irony. I shoulda known! Shoooop! Right over my head! It just seems that we're so inundated by PSAs and commercials and news items telling us what to watch out for - even when the odds are so incredibly remote. OK, I'll be watchin' for those little buggers... (why do I suddenly itch all over?) Edited August 7, 2006 by rostasi Quote
JSngry Posted August 7, 2006 Author Report Posted August 7, 2006 It's like I told my daughter the other day when she was feeling guilty about eating a hamburger - don't be afraid to bite the cow that feeds you. Quote
rostasi Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 It's like I told my daughter the other day when she was feeling guilty about eating a hamburger - don't be afraid to bite the cow that feeds you. I just had a guy show up at my door - in the pouring rain - about 15 minutes ago trying to sell me meat out of the back of his truck. It's 100 friggin degrees out and he's selling dead animals door-to-door Quote
JSngry Posted August 7, 2006 Author Report Posted August 7, 2006 You're getting rain?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Quote

rachel Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 the squirrels in my neighborhood are a tougher bunch. Same here. After 10 years, I've finally found a squirrel-proof feeder. Finally foiled them...for now. After a hard day: Quote

Dmitry Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 Something really weird happened yesterday night - my cat caught a bunny rabbit AND ate the poor thing. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. Got digital photos of the carcas and the cat to prove it. Quote
Noj Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 That's perfectly normal. My old cat Rocky (RIP) used to kill rabbits all the time. He'd decapitate them, chew their ears off, and leave us a pile of entrails on the porch. Quote
Tim McG Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 We have a ground squirrel living in our backyard. I guess he figures he's safe from preditors, but he's a large pain in the butt...he keeps digging up the yard. Quote
