The film has nothing to do with the old resort in Michigan, just the name is the same. I don't know where they came up with the name.

Not a Hip Hop afficianado by any means but this is solid shit, way beyond the usual litany of clichés offered by that brand of music. Love the way they are incorporating influences from "old time black music"

For those who know them are their previous recordings are as intriguing musically wise.

All Outkast albums are worthwhile, but more arent as diverse. The only one that comes close is The Love Below/Speakerboxx, a double disc from a few years back. The Love Below disc is absolutely fantastic. If you dig Idlewild youll love that cd.

The rest of their releases are much more hip-hop. although a very peculiar brand of hip hop.
