Dan Gould Posted August 7, 2006 Author Report Posted August 7, 2006 (edited) I am thinking that there are enough BFTs received that Wednesday the 9th would be as good a time as any to open the discussion threads. For anyone still interested, yousendit files are available til Thursday. Edited August 7, 2006 by Dan Gould Quote

Dan Gould Posted August 10, 2006 Author Report Posted August 10, 2006 Yousendit.com sucks. My original upload expired today, and one person hadn't downloaded before, so I returned to upload again. Now, some of you may recall the trouble I had initially with yousendit. After I signed up for the "free" account, I had no problem with the uploads last week. However, now when I try to upload again, all of a sudden my file size is limited to 100MB, and both of these zip files are in the neighborhood of 165 MBs each. I can only guess that Matt was successful in uploading another set of zip files because he encoded the MP3s at such a low rate that the files didn't exceed 100 MB. But at the same time, how is it that I was able to upload 170 MB files the first time, and then not the second? Did yousendit change the terms of the account in between??? Like I said: they suck. So, I will still offer mail service at this point but it looks like yousendit is out. Quote

Actually, Matt, underfunded student, had the original idea in his BFT 38. actually, I think it was Rocky who floated the idea way way way back when we were all still stuck with 56k modems... Quote
