Son-of-a-Weizen
Flipped though one of the July issues of the New Yorker today and the #1 all time selling Rock/Pop album is ___________________________. Don't Google.......don't grab the New Yorker and peek.........just take a stab at it.

Kevin Bresnahan
I think it used to be Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon", but today, it's probably a Britney Spears CD.

Noj
It's probably one of those glorified karaoke singers from American Idol.
mgraham333
If it's not Michael Jackson's Thriller what was their source?
RDK
If it's not Michael Jackson's Thriller what was their source? That's the usual culprit...
BERIGAN
Is it one of those Garth Brooks box sets that each cd was counted as a separate sale???
Son-of-a-Weizen
Eagles Greatest Hits? Yep, so they say. "The most popular album of all time is the Eagles' "Greatest Hits, 1971-1975," which has sold about twenty-nine million copies in the United States since it's release, in 1976. The No. 2 album is Jackson's "Thriller," which has sold twenty-seven million copies since 1982. Next on the list are albums by Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, and Billy Joel." Adam
Yeah, the Eagles album passed Thriller 4 or 5 years ago. It just keeps selling, I guess.

Son-of-a-Weizen
What? The New Yorker lied? See, I start subscribing to C. Albertson's favorite mag and immediately get burned!
Chuck Nessa
Shit, I see there is one on my shelves and I don't know how it got there. Must be a promo.

Besides, I dig the fact that they acknowledge that sales figures are fuzzy numbers at best. Rather see > 30M than something silly like 31,287,081 copies sold worldwide (not counting 1827 promo copies).

Perhaps I can find a way to have the ship pass from Jack's right to the left, and please no one!
