Chalupa Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 A couple of questions for Chuck. 1. How many copies would you print up of an album run? Was there a standard number or did it vary from album to album, run to run? 2. Is there a way differentiate between old/new editions? I picked up a copy of "Congliptious" over the weekend in near mint condition for $15. I have a hard time believing it's an older pressing. It has blue/white labels. Thanks. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 Depending on the record, 1000 to 2500 first pressing order. The first pressing of Congliptious had blue and burgundy labels. The record you have is undoubtedly a better pressing. The first run (1000) was done at the Chess plant and was the only time I pressed anything there. Quote
ATR Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Don't want to miss out on the Nonaah and Saga of the Outlaws discs. Two of many that inspired me back in the day. Although the resale value of my Nonaah and Outlaws LP's will drop, it's a fact that records were made to be listened to and not listed on ebay. Quote
