For those who don't know, I work at the National Gallery of Art, and we have been in the middle of that fierce rainstorm and flooding this past week. Many buildings, including the Archives, which was badly flooded, waist high I hear, the IRS headquarters, Department of Justice, and the American and Natural History Museums were all shut down this week. Employees, though on liberal leave, still came to work. I'm liking the idea of stomping around in an empty museum with lots of pretty pictures to look at. But it has been hellish this week. Quote
