Bright Moments Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 the james carter is a steal - a must own cd! Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 The heck with that James Carter ... Sonny Stitt's "POW!" is extremely hard to find and a very nice date. I often wish Roulette would reissue this. Bennie Green blows some mean 'bone and the seldom-recorded Kirk Lightsley is pretty good too. Quote

PM sent on "POW".... Quote
slide_advantage_redoux Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 Sent a pm re: the Tolliver live date. Paypal no prob. Thanks Quote
Bluerein Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 The Stitt/Green date isn't even a Roulette date at all. It's originally a Prestige session. Don't know how it could be reissued by Roulette. Must be something like the Cannonball story when he moved from Riverside to Capitol. Quote
