chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted June 17, 2006 Report Posted June 17, 2006 ...was this part of their original philosophy or something? why cant u get the original notes or original album covers. what up w/ that. Quote
BFrank Posted June 17, 2006 Report Posted June 17, 2006 Some of them do have the original liners. Larry Young for example. The Mosaic Selects have cover art, too. Quote
RDK Posted June 17, 2006 Report Posted June 17, 2006 But the earliest sets all came with a bag of weed hidden under the plastic tray insert - isn't that enough? Quote
Christiern Posted June 17, 2006 Report Posted June 17, 2006 For one thing, they probably would have to pay for use of notes and/or covers (depending on ownership), but it would also be impractical, considering the fact that many Mosaic releases are culled from several albums. Quote

jazzbo Posted June 17, 2006 Report Posted June 17, 2006 Plus they own a boatload of Francis Wolf images that works for a number of their sets. . . why license other images or the use of original covers when they have that cache? It allows them to use a number of images not to be found elsewhere, giving the sets uniqueness. Quote
Alec Posted June 18, 2006 Report Posted June 18, 2006 I always thought we should have a thread that has scans of the original covers for each of the mosaic sets Anybody want to start? Quote
