bertrand Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 'Don't Blame Me' is on Capuchin Swing, but it's a trio track (no Jackie). Bertrand. Quote
chris olivarez Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 Thanks Dan, Tom and youmustbe for your input on "Bluesnik". Quote
AllenLowe Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 (edited) has anyone mentioned the Steeplechase "live" stuff that Jackie recorded (Das Dat, Parker's Mood) - to me this is the best Jackie ever - very modern sounding, unselfconscious - I also have an LP recorded in the 1960s at the Left Bank Society - has this been reissued elsewhere or at all? Not great sound but amazing Jackie - Edited June 16, 2006 by AllenLowe Quote
Guest youmustbe Posted June 18, 2006 Report Posted June 18, 2006 Yeah, the Left bank stuff is great, unfortunately, the tape is warped in places. Quote
Tom 1960 Posted July 12, 2006 Author Report Posted July 12, 2006 Just an update. I received Consequence in the mail today from Yourmusic.com and right now this is my favorite Jackie release. You just can't go wrong with the combo of McLean/Morgan. This thing smokes. Thanks to all who recommended this one. Quote
ASNL77 Posted July 12, 2006 Report Posted July 12, 2006 My favourite McLean session along with 'Destination Out'. Lee Morgan's input is just great! Quote

Far superior to Leeway. Quote
Guy Berger Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 I got this last fall but only listened to it this week. A very, very good album. Guy Quote
Daniel A Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 Blue Note jumbled up the typewritten pages of the notes I wrote for the LP issue of this back in 1979, and apparently the CD retains the original incoherent jumble. This came up here a ways back, and I explained how to un-jumble things; if that post can't be found and anyone cares, I'll try again. As I did care, I looked for the post and found it here (if anyone cares... ): http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...st&p=420461 Quote
